When we met Miguel Lojan, at the Sungrow booth, we asked what CPOs come to him with.

The list was familiar: weak grid connections, expensive electricity at the wrong hours, and demand charges that punish every peak.

I'm Miguel Lojan, I'm part of the COK team, now responsible for the PowerStack at European level. So in my daily tasks I'm looking to provide support to all the technical teams and also sales teams around Europe. Our customers in Sungrow are small C&I customers which are looking to combine existing PV plants with ESS. Those customers are trying to develop solutions to improve the system and optimize the energy produced by the PV. Also, we have big industrial customers which are also looking to reduce the cost of the energy prices in their bills. Lastly, we have CPOs that are looking for a solution for those plants with EV chargers, PV and ESS, which combines the whole system in a station. The most common challenges that our customers find are weak grid connections, most of the time, the electricity prices during specific times of the day and the peak chargers are doing that whole solution makes expensive. So that's why customers are trying to enter the market, get electricity prices, and then they want to use solutions like the PowerStack. Well, mainly the collaboration with other companies is because Sungrow has its own EMS300CP for these kinds of scenarios, the C&I ESS scenarios, but it's a limited device. We can do monitoring, we can do peak shaving, we can do time of use, but the market requests more features. And that's why we are looking at collaboration with a partner like FLEXECHARGE to be able to provide the customer the full package. So they will be able to manage and optimize installations with chargers, PV and ESS in a better way.
