How do you choose the right EMS deployment for an EV charging site?

You're faced now with all of this information. How do you actually make a choice? What we typically go through when we hear about a new project, we work with a customer, teaching them how to decide which one of our options to take is a decision tree. Quite simple. We start from the most complex and we try and arrive with the least complex one. So number one is: does the site need local networking or a DSO integration? If it's a yes, then we go with the FLEXBOX. If it's a no, then the question is: is there a building load or some other uncontrollable load that you need to monitor? Or a solar installation, or even a stationary co-located battery? Yes – then the GATEWAY is a good option. If none of these applies, we have no uncontrollable loads, we don't have a battery, it's actually really just about the charging stations, and we're happy with a static total charging limit, then we can go with the cloud deployment.
